I feel like if ulcerate wanted to really make super accessible music, they'd be one of the most popular metal bands around. That's not to say they should...while this seems more accessible than most of their stuff, it's all deep and super rewarding.

I'd say Destroyers is equally as accessible given there's just, I dunno.. less going on? This definitely has the most hooks, but I'd hesitate to call it "catchy" or anything lol

decided to get on this and stopped after The Lifeless Advance, im feeling kinda bored and i dont want to taint a first listen with that feeling. i hope its just that im not in the mood for this right now, but i did predict that i would probably start getting bored with them if they didnt really make some changes, and its possible adding a little melody wasnt enough.

If it's any consolation The Lifeless Advance took longer to grow on me than any other track, and the two middle tracks are probably the most intense and make for a great payoff after some of the more brooding moments to start off with.
