I love some of the great bm, like fuckin batlord, darkthrone, mayhem, burzum, emperor, but it's not a genre that I can just swim thru the shit like water like I can w/ dm. I love dm so much I could (and easily have!) listen to it 12 hours a day. I just can't do that w/ any other genre.
