Yeah, a lot of people find the National to be, well, quite forgetable (this album more than the previous ones), but upon further listening, they really grow on you. This album took me quite some time to really appreciate.

A friend of mine wasn't really a fan, until he saw them at Roskilde Festival in 2013. Now, he loves them

As I'm sure you know best sowing i'm extremely critical when it comes to music that can be pretty well summed up with 'alt/indie' tags and as far as that goes I do recall finding these guys a lot more gratifying than a lot of stuff like that out there. I'm gonna root through my harddrive and pull this out and give it another listen v soon.

Fireproof, Slipped, and Hard to Find are my least favorites while Sea of Love, Graceless, and Humiliation are probably the best.
