"Wonder what III will be called."

Supposedly III is going to be called 'Juggernaut'. But I would have gone with 'Periphery III: The Revenge of Periphery' for symmetry's sake.

"Masamune is the name of the sword from a character from Final Fantasy"

I don't know if Periphery is referring to FF or actual history, but it doesn't matter. How can you not chuckle at a band that doesn't take itself too seriously to give their songs goofy names?

i think the album is a crock of monkey cum but yea that's pretty funny wish some other bands took
themselves less seriously

Yeah, that's essentially what I said in my review. I find their total lack of self-awareness somewhat
endearing.

Actually, I think they are completely self-aware. They're a bunch of self-conscious nerds who recognize the inherent silliness of what they do for a living and roll with it.

Funny thing about self-awareness: if you suck, just abandon it.

Amusing, how that works.

I don't really care either way but from what i've told from people who look at interviews and live shows and shit they look pretty unaware of what they are or are doing but idk, i've never seen either of those things

"Suck" is a matter of opinion. Even the worst baller in the NBA is better than 99.9% of the other basketball players in the world. Same goes for Periphery. You might think they suck, but they're a helluva lot better than almost anyone else.

I don't think they take life too seriously, they're not gonna make it out alive anyways

I named one of my songs after a Dark Souls boss. Hush.

that would be implying that every single talented person is part of a band with recognition

Actually, I think that when a band sucks, that they aren't better than anybody else, but more of a fruitless waste of time.

Funny how that works, huh?

Misha is pretty active on message boards all over the place under his Bulb moniker. Seems like a pretty grounded guy even if he is (understandably) somewhat cocky.
