Shit, I know you do know your stuff for the most part but you need to listen to LYSF. Everything that I love about adventure and emotional atmosphere is achieved on that album. The coney island monologue, with an emotional tone that is only further supported by the arrangements that follow it, the climax in "Static", the power behind "Antennas to Heaven". Their perfect album.
