My first time was one night after being hung all day. I smoked a bowl to try to knock me out so I could sleep abd and for some reason thought, "Hey maybe I'll checkpoout this album that my buddy Steve recd me".
I didn't go to sleep, let's just say that.

but I was weird. Im an alcoholic and to me, being hung over was better than being drunk. I had this stillness of thought that was like meditation. I dont drink anymore, but some of those sunday mornings just recovering were the most insightful and blissful I felt, in a kind of odd and detached way.
anyways, point is that it ended up being the perfect vehicle to usher in appreciation of this album.
It didnt sound good, it sounded apocalyptic.

The title track might be the heaviest song in existence. Absolutely fucking huge. Might be my favourite Neurosis track.
