They're alternative rock with shoegaze influence (Corgan was obsessed with Loveless by MBV when making Siamese Dream at least) Gish is that way too



Some say they're grunge, but that's really only cuz the lyrics are angtsy



I guess the delve into alt metal a bit on Mellon Collie, but Mellon Collie is all over the place genre wise and has a lot of soft folky ballads too



Adore is gothy electronc alt rock though



Just hear all the 90s albums and ignore their other stuff
