It has to be said the opener on this is one of the greatest statements of intent on an album. Absolute classic.

Axl actually makes this band, along with every other member that took part up to the Use Your Illusion albums.

I guess this one is finally starting to click. I guess I never had given it a fair chance before.

Damn, some raw power.

I wonder if seeing them at the Sabbath stream helped.

The fact they contributed a song to the T2 soundtrack might help too.

Though I skipped Paradise City and Sweet Child O' Mine, damn overplayed.

This time around I only skipped Sweet Child O' Mine. The opening riff is worn out on me.

Otherwise, I look forward to giving this more listens down the road. Might end up as one of my fave rock/metal albums of the decade.
