I would love to see them shift gears and open up to a brand new genre. As long as good tunes are still good tunes, I wouldn't mind hearing some One Republic influence in their sounds. Wouldn't mind seeing BMTH do a couple cuts with Alesso or Calvin Harris. If the music is good, the music. Let go of the past people. You know I'm right. How do you know? Cause I'm always right about music. You have been SOAKED....bitch.

I think opening up a new genre is wishful thinking. Sub-genres are getting out of hand since everyone wants to be special. If people are wanting to stand out, they need to add to the genre. For example, Yellowcard integrated a violin into pop-punk. Who would have ever imagined a violin would be used in a pop-punk album? They added to the genre by delivering a new sense of melody to their work and consistently releasing cult hits. Bring Me the Horizon, at least in my opinion, doesn't need to fall into the trend of britpop stars in American music. Britpop introduced a new element during its time, but the genre has consistently become stale and needs to rest. It's overly saturated and needs a renaissance similar to that of alternative rock entering the 2010's.

The re-issued 5 year anniversary of That's the Spirit (hopefully on vinyl) in the fall of 2020 is going to be...I can't even think of a good word cause it's going to be so ridiculously good.. That production, that effect, that team, that songwriting, that re-issue, on a fucking VINYL??? Life will be complete at that juncture. Hopefully there a few B-sides too.

For his 2018 MSG shows, Billy Joel has asked the boys from BMTH to be guest singers on a bunch of his songs, including the a capaella hit "The Longest Time" and "Piano Man". I don't care what those tickets are going to cost nor the fact that I have to fly 4 hours to get there. I will be there when BMTH + Billy Joel take the state together at MSG in 2018.
