Damn, this is so good, but when Melting City is over I'm already exhausted. That's when the longest song kicks in. It's just a little too long. But so good. 4.5, I guess

too long... pfff... its the same length as scenes, no one calls that album too long, its meant to be an epic long adventure, of course its long

Extremophile Elite is such a bop.

Length is always a relative thing when you listen to music. It's so frenetic and relentless that I'm often exhausted when Melting City is over. The songs themselves rule.

Agreed kalk, everything on its own here is really good. I think the sweet spot for me with these guys is 50-60 minutes. That’s my biggest gripe with this album is that it’s a touch too long.

I can listen to BTBAM's albums from TGM to the end of Automata II with ease no album by them is 'too long'.........

yall are like 'I can only take so much punishment, I'm tappin out now', I used to be like that with BTBAM... but not anymore... (ok I'm like that with their albums from debut to Colors, but anyway...) you just need to keep listening... its that simple, the fact that this criticism is the main thing that stops people from 5ing is a pretty weak argument in my opinion

You've got a point. it takes a lot of time to fully absorb their stuff.
but tbh I have no trouble listening to TSC in one sitting at all. Same with Alaska. They're like 20 minutes shorter

I mean I’ve been listening to this since it dropped and preordered the vinyl. Listened to it more than enough to know it’s hard for me to stomach in one sitting. And I’m literally the opposite of you tundra lol.
I got no issue sitting through TSC - parallax 1, but after that I have a hard time sitting through the full albums.

Newtbam better more conceptual, more concise, more cohesive, better produced, all better

Coma and Automata are too clean imo, I miss some rawness

Nah kalk you’re wrong, he just explained that they’re better in every way. Gotta get with the program here. And remember this album is a 5 or you just haven’t listened enough.

nice satire, anyways I have to realize the perspective from everyones point of view I guess... for instance, I dont know what its like to 5 Alaska, so thats prob the same the other way round, so I'll realize my errors there (cough this should still have a 4.1 avg at the very least cough)

This is how I feel about Coma Ecliptic. The individual songs are really good to great... but it ends up being less than the sum of its parts somehow.

i never had a hard time getting through any of their albums in their entirety......guess I like the music way too much to feel that way about it

This one is definitely the hardest one to sit all the way through imo outside of Coma... mostly cause Melting City and Silent Flight are my too least favorite songs here and they combine for the last 30 minutes of the album
