It's interesting to note how many of the comments here seem to be in favor of the things that are most wrong with Swans. When I was growing up, there was never a question of the importance of public education, availability of health care, efforts to minimize crime, relieve poverty, encourage honest work by decent wages, or basically be nice to each other without trying to scam the system. The advent of confusing rational assessment of what needs to be done really does not help advance actually making things better.
