Lol, that bit you mentioned in Ecailles De Lune II isn't even the best part of the song! You talking about that slow guitar passage? But anyway, I suppose it's all a matter of opinion / taste anyway. It's all subjective, and special moments in music can't be argued with if one person loves it.

For example, to me, this album outro is one of the most beautiful simplistic guitar pieces I've ever heard, and it gives me chills when listening to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBU9nkrCSxo

That is the beautiful thing about music. If someone truly feels something then nobody else's opinion even matters on the subject.

YesyesYES THANK YOU Kaiwaz that's honestly THE moment! Those echoing open high E hits send shivers down my spine every time. I'm struggling to think of anything that could rival that moment

This album also probably has my favourite clean guitar tone of all time - each note almost sounds like a raindrop

Tbh I think 2:00-3:30 in Pt I comes very close for me + the ending of Pt II

Essentially the t/t is the best thing this band has ever written hands down and its not even close

Lol, I didn't ignore it! I literally just don't think it's THAT great. Hence my point about music being subjective. Different parts hit people differently, it ain't no thang, brother.

There are at least 5 other Alcest songs I'd place on the same level.

That's the level of this band's brilliance.

Finding 5 songs on the same level is quite easy, and the t/t is already a GOAT track lol

Nah, they're one of my favourite bands but the whole t/t is seriously maybe top 10 songs ever for me, I can't say even close to the same for any of their other songs - and that's obviously no disrespect as top 10 of all time is no mean feat. Maybe Elevation could scrape top ~60. Its certainly not "easy"

And to go back to best moments in their discog that reminds me - climax of Elevation is a serious contender

The climaxes of Les Voyages and Faiseurs du Monde are my favorite moments of their work. As whole songs, t/ts and Coleurs on this might be superior. At least half of the tracks of Kodama are also there.

Souvenirs has most of the best moments for me, I just love the overall sound and feel of that album so much. Every time the loud guitars explode out of quiet sections on that album my soul transcends my body.

Dude, you gotta let it go! I fucking love the album. A LOT. Which is why I have it rated as 4.5. But I literally just don't see what's so special about that bit. Pls dnt kill me. It's nice and everything, don't get me wrong. But it's nothing that stands out to me when taking their entire discog into account.

Also, dude, you should know that if you want to link to a specific timestamp on Youtube vids, just click 'Share', then tick the box at the bottom saying: 'Start at:' and it will create a link for you at that specific point.

I will give you a practical example of it while showing you a moment from Kodama that I think is better. Poss my favourite riff from that album - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwE5FG-pIdk&feature=youtu.be&t=58
