"Strangers" is my favorite here, but all rule.

actually can’t explain the extent to which Barbie Girl dwarfs Wandering Star as a reflection of musical ability

Wandering Star is the type of song a band plays back after recording and laughs knowing people will eat it up because of how intentionally bad it is

Even calling this an average album is a crime against humanity

you were better at trolling when your opinions were actually believable. Trying too hard now.

Anyway… new album hits trending, progress!

Revisited “Out of Season” too and enjoyed it marginally more than I remember, yet I’m still not as in love with the style. Beth’s vocal inflections come across as overdone at times, like it’s to suit the expectations / a bit ‘unnatural’

Biscuit may suit well for sex, but I’d go limp during Glory Box (“Give me a reeeasooon to love youuuu”), will never put it on.

Glory Box is v much a post-event cigarette, which ig tracks. Wandering Star here is the only song here that has individually "got" "me" "laid", but otherwise I'd have bet on Biscuit as the sack jam for sure

Yeah that’d be cringe af (first genuine usage of “cringe” I have possibly ever gone for). Great song. Not my fave here but still, this is the BEST album

anyone have experience of where to find Trip hop in record shops, do some people put it in hip-hop? (had this sudden realisation today). It’s certainly not ‘house’ and electronic came up short, lol

depends on the store, but either the dance/electronic section or pop/rock if it's Portishead or Massive Attack iirc

lol @Johnny, I wonder how'd Colton react to an "invitation" during Wandering Star

Yeah Johnny, the vagueness is terrifying!

as is looking through ‘pop / rock’… that’s a lot of effort for minimal gain, or so I thought, hmm 🤔

record store genre categorisations are a law unto themselves, only place ive seen 'wonky' as a genre and theyd just chucked all electronic music that wasnt techno or house in there lol
