Emperor guys

Honestly Emperor is probably my least fave of the big Norwegian BM bands. I like them but they never clicked as much as they seem to with everyone else

Immortal is easily my least fav from the big Norwegian BM bands. This if we don't count Gorgoroth as a big band lol. Oh and Mayhem are rly overrated.

Haven't listened to enough Gorgoroth to really know if I like them or not. And I'm sure we've all silently
agreed to exclude Dimmu from this right?

Quick question about Immortal: I never was a huge fan of At The Heart of Winter and it's the only album I checked by them. Should I bother with Pure Holocaust or do they sound samey?

Pure Holocaust is less melodic and more "traditional" BM sounding

You could go Sons of Northern Darkness which is a lot more polished and has a sort of thrashy vibe going on.

Darkthrone are easily the best Norwegian bm band as a whole. Emperor have the best album in Nightside though.

Ulver and Emperor are by far my favorite NBM bands

I've never listened to Immortal, nor do I ever intend to, but I find their image particularly hilarious, even for a black metal band.
