Although I'll admit his vocals aren't quite what they used to be I really think this could have been much, much worse. It won't top 'The Shape of Punk to Come' but I can't see it being anything less than a 3.5.

I can't see a lot of albums surpassing this one.

Feels like one of those songs that could be either really good or really bad depending on how it fits into the album

I wish it was a bit more energetic and crazy but still a solid track. Kinda hitting that middle ground between old school Refused and a band like Disturbed or something, know what I'm saying? A bit too plain.

sounds like foo fighters [∞]

- not terrible; 2 or 2.5 out of 5
- the grooves are kinda cool but the whole song is basically all just one riff redone again and again and again as if the song was a challenge to see how many different ways you could play one riff
- vocals are pretty boring; similar deal as the instrumentation with the constant rehashing of the same basic melodic motif; chorus is really uninspired
- kinda overproduced, almost as much as a letlive song. i guess it's possible for them to be able to do this justice live but they'd have to try really hard.

At work, so I have yet to listen to it, but I have no doubt I'll dig it as well. I know it's not going to sound much like this because even though they only have three full-lengths they have been continuously altering their style, and it's all been solid. A 17 year gap is going to do nothing to stop that shift hopefully

"I feel like that is any song haha"

Not exactly, because usually songs are things that can stand alone quality-wise. If it's a good song, it's a good song. If it's bad, then it sucks donkey dickass

The quality of this song in particular (at least, imo), seems REALLY dependent on how it fits onto the album itself. As dimsim noted, "the whole song is basically all just one riff redone again and again and again as if the song was a challenge to see how many different ways you could play one riff", and sometimes with these types of songs, they can transfer momentum into another track really well, so it all depends on how they're planning to use it.
