This album is definitely a classic within the genre and also my favourite by them. I can fuck with this anytime

Any of you boys jam the new Archspire album?

This was one of my favorite albums as a teenager, and I still enjoy the hell out of it today

Got to see them play most of this back in 2008 or 2009. Fucking shredded.

I saw them I think 2012 and honestly they were easily one of the most boring bands I've seen perform.

Yeah they really don't seem to bring any energy live, from when I've seen at least. It's also been a rotating cast of musicians besides Keene for the last 5 years or whatever though, so I suppose that isn't surprising exactly.

They played Sons of Belial on the recent Summer Slaughter tour, so that was kind of cool.

Legions of the Serpent probably my favorite. That verse riff tho

Probably wasn't even the same band I saw and if it was, they'd been playing the same two albums for about 6-7 years at that point. They have a rep for being an overall shit band these days.

Honestly not sure why Keene just doesn't start a new project, the Faceless brand is stale and it's practically his solo ego-stroking mechanism at this point.

"practically his solo ego-stroking mechanism at this point"

Probably exactly why he hasn't started a new one lol. I am curious what a reeled-in part-of-something Keene would sound like though

But yeah "The Faceless" brand is no good atm, agreed

Me too, tbh. He should have started something new before Autotheism. Had he done something under a different name closer to this release he would have had enough hype. Seems like he's just an asshole though.

Agreed, and yeah I imagine that's why he hasn't had a consistent line up since...well ever, really.

Yeah, everything I've ever heard about him makes him sound like a complete piece of shit. My friends met him, said he was basically exactly the pompous asshole you would expect and that it wasn't just unfair tabloid nonsense.
