Hey You, Comfortably Numb and ITF are bad ass, but it's a let down. It's just so ambitious and doesn't deliver!

Yeah Waters definitely let his ambition get the better of him on that one. But Run Like Hell, Waiting for the Worms and Mother are some killer fucking tracks too.

songs on the wall that rule so hard that it's difficult to find words to describe their awesomeness:
in the flesh
the thin ice
another brick in the wall (all of the parts)
mother
one of my turns
young lust
hey you
comfortably numb
the show must go on
run like hell
waiting for the worms

Oh man, Mother is such a jam. The Wall in general doesn't get nearly enough love around here. Is it as good as the Holy Trinity? Probably not. But its still pretty fucking great.

Yeah it does get a lot of shit in the threads but high ratings, it's weird. The list you posted, Artuma, is mostly great (although I don't dig Young Lust too much) but outside of those there isn't much off the Wall that I really love. Having said that, Goodbye Blue Sky goes hard.

Goodbye Blue Sky goes hard [2]. So does Nobody Home, such a powerful song.
"I've got wild staring eyes,
And I've got a strong urge to fly
But I've got nowhere to fly to"
Anyone catch Rogers The Wall tour last year? Breathtaking experience.

Oh yeah Nobody Home is another great one, fave lyrics:
"I've got nicotine stains on my fingers
I've got a silver spoon on a chain
I've got a grand piano to prop up my mortal remains"
Nah I didn't catch the tour, would've love to but a) I don't think it come to Aus and b) No Gilmour = sadface.

Saw him at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne man, pretty sure he sold it out four times in a row. Even without Dave, it was freaking incredible. The scale of the show was freaking epic.
|
| |
I would presume so. I'm in Melbourne, but I would have thought it went to all the major cities.

Dammit. Oh well, maybe I'll get another chance to see him (or Dave for that matter), both of them are going and rockin' on for peeps of their considerable age.

Pretty sure Dave has said he has no plans to tour again
Hopefully Roger comes out again though, it was an amazing experience.

Shit, I didn't hear about that! He better keep making solo albums dammit, he can still sing like a fucking beast for being, what, 66? And yeah, I'll do my best to catch Waters sometime, but I'd much rather see Dave I have to admit.
