I'd suggest EP02 first and then their other album. However, if you want some near-classic, better than GY!BE post-rock, then Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia's Indian Ink is the place to go. Personally, I think tracks like "BBF3" are meandrous and more about the emotions behind the song than the music, so this really fixes that problem. Combines the best of both worlds in a less overlong package.

It's an album rating, relax. It's not important.

Well..... I doubt it's better than Godspeed but I'll definitely download both of those. I'm going through quite a bit of a post-rock phase now, so Ill add those to my list and get back to you. But again. I doubt any of them can beat Godspeed

MBICR was probably the best post-rock group of all time. And worriedaboutsatan is immensely unknown, which sucks.

Learning/analyzing shit just clicks with me. I mean, I read up on my stuff and then formulated reasons I thought Genre X is good and why it is bad.

best post-rock groups so far, for me are Godspeed, Kashiwa Daisuke (post-rock/ambient/post-modern classical composer), Yndi Halda, Sigur Ros, uhhhh, I really think Caspian is great despite being unoriginal. I have tons on my waiting list so I'll get to the ones that people always rave about

Indie Halda is the quintessential post-rock band.

NeutralThunder12: Kashiwa Daisuke isn't a post-rock artist.

Lights Out Asia is good but not one of the best. Godspeed pwns all anyway. But I need to listen to Mono more (they've bored me on every listen but the arrangements are great) and I need to re-listen to many more. But Godspeed is the best. Seriously.
