Some of the bass work on this album is so good. It doesn't quite speak to me like Symbolic yet & isn't as immediately gratifying as Human but there's time.

Yeah DiGiorgiogioiorigio's bass work is absolutely bonkers. When i saw Death to All play a couple years ago he rocked the whole set with a FRETLESS THREE STRING BASS

"Yeah DiGiorgiogioiorigio's bass"

I laughed way harder at this than I should have.

A Death reuinion band with a guy that looks and sounds like a young Chuck. Cant remember the exact lineup but every members aside from the aforementioned pseudo-Chuck played in Death at one point and they really do the band's glory days good justice. See em if you get the chance.

I was blown away at how on point their Chuck ringer was. His guitar was mixed too low but he hit every note Chuck would have, same voice AND had the exact same flowing locks of hairy metal glory. Some could argue hes still alive in that man's flesh.

I personally love how they throw in that evil circus-sounding solo, and then directly follow it up with a Cynic-esque jazz metal riff. Such a gem of an album m/

Best Death for sure. I like Symbolic but the album just feels kind of empty compared to how much they've got going on here.

I wouldn't say it feels empty at all tbh. This is best Death though yeah.

Maybe empty is the wrong word, but Symbolic just seems way more spaced out with less things going on overall despite the great song writing. This album just seems overflowing with ideas and strikes the perfect balance between tech-death and the more jazzy elements they kept developing later.

Symbolic is def more tame and melodic than this...this album is fucking nuts

"Mentally Blind" might be the best on this
