You can't really say about them that they lack "identity" because, even among dissonant bands, they do have a signature sound. They're recognizably Ulcerate.

It's absolutely unfair to expect it, but I don't think it's crazy to want it. I didn't expect Surgical Steel to be an absolute banger-fest, for example.
