the most acceptable 'edgy' pick for best post-metal is Inle imo
...'edgy' in this context is essentially anything beyond the 'big 3'. It's kinda weird that it's potentially controversial even suggesting other genre peaks, but their reps are all so well established and deserved, so maybe not. I remember naively wondering how long it would take to find some hidden gem that could comfortably sit alongside the greats and now I realise how (largely) futile most of this endeavour was lol (I mean not really cos 'fun' and everything... just saying).
