Pangea, I'm the complete opposite, lol. It was a 4 at first and then it eventually went down to a 3.

My brothers friend asked me if he should pick this up having heard no other Deftones. I told him definitely not and told him to get one of their three best some other time (koi no, wp, snw), I did the right thing, right?

"s/t instead of wp but yeah" WP is the better starting place though.

"around the fur is prob the best starting point"

Maybe, definitely the easiest to get into but it's also misleading for their later albums.

Adrenaline and Around the Fur best starting point.

Then drop White Pony on them.

Then the rest.

I think hearing some of the more recognized songs on ATF is a good starting point but for a first whole album, the pony. My own summer and Be Quiet and drive will hook ya in

I think Diamond Eyes would be a good starter, it was for me anyway

I started with Pony and then went through the rest of the Discog, before finally checking Adrenaline and ATF.

It worked out great because I got to see how they progressed after Pony and then got to check out their roots.

DE is a pretty good starting point, it's probably their most straightforward album.
