One of my favorites of the year so far, Refn decided to toss the idea of Drive 2 to make a very low budget but very violent flick situated in Bangkok. It's visuals, use of lights and colors and cinematography are pretty much perfect and come with a strong oppressive soundtrack, making this trip sick and dead serious. It's a tad experimental with a few influences from Lynch (mainly in atmosphere), Gaspard Noé (if you've seen Into the Void, this would be it's lighter version) and Jodorowsky (for the many scenes clouded in symbolism). Overall it might piss you off if you were hoping Drive 2 or a scenario oriented movie (wich is why critics massively hated this film). So yeah I'd say it's worth a try

its a lot less accessible than drive, and as someone who isn't really used to "experimental" films, it was kinda hard to watch at a few parts. overall cool movie though. loved the atmosphere, cinematography and music
