Is Spencer even in this album lol. I remember when this was damn near a mixtape when it first came out, instrumental. Vocals sound like hes doing a meshughah cover. Glad the vocals expanded into something more original to them on later albums

his screams are flat here but it’s never really bothered me. though it would be nice to hear the walk and zyglrox with modern spencer’s demon growls

i mean leading up to this album they went through like 2 vocalists, after hearing those versions of the song for like a year or two prior to this coming out: spencer didn't really gel with me at first. by likee p2 going onto juggernaut he'd become a pretty great live performer/screamer and earned my respect.

Spencer deffo grew as a vocalist between this and P2 but I think his performance here is more than good enough considering he didn't write any of the lyrics and had only been in the band for like a month or 2 whilst the re-recorded the vocals before this dropped.

Still rules hard, agreed. Sometimes I think my view on this one might just be nostalgia, given that I had never heard anything like it when it came out. But nah, on revisit it always holds up, still love pretty much everything here. Also love that Hawks is now a fan of the band, did not see that coming lol.
