Why, thank you, MJ. I try.

And, yeah, people who value century old composers may as well be their own scene. I see enough of them around.

Beethoven for his influence. Stravinsky is a genius though, nobody outshines him for me regardless of importance.

"John Coltrane is better js."- DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Close second or third, but Miles has been part of every jazz movement, Coltrane basically only in bop and a lil bit of free jazz as well. Miles actually isn't a technically better player, but in terms of diversity, influence and consistency, he pounds Coltrane into the ground. You probably know nothing about jazz or it's history lol.

No shit.

But there should be something in each genre that you love.

Except deathcore and modern pop.

hey me likey some good ol deathcore. And yeah brah, Stravinsky was a fucking amazing man. but Im not much of a classical guy. More of a jazz guy in terms of favorite pre-rock genre of music.

if The Red Chord and Glass Casket didnt exist there would literally be no good bands in Deathcore.

"if The Red Chord and Glass Casket didnt exist there would literally be no good bands in Deathcore."- I also like Veil of Maya and The Black Dahlia Murder. The Red Chord is the best band in the genre though.

The Black Dahlia Murder isn't deathcore. The new Red Chord album isn't either.

Neutral stfu, being involved in a movement doesn't make you a better musician. Miles was more important, but come on, being
responsible for fusion detracts from his track record more than enhancing it. John Coltrane's free/modal/whatever records are
absolutely classic, and beat out Miles' records from the same period, regardless of the fact that Coltrane's records were
doubtlessly inspired by his time playing in Mile's band. Kind of Blue was definitely awesome, but Coltrane's solos on it the best
part, and A Love Supreme, Impressions and My Favorite Things are all easily better records as a whole.

Crunkcore isn't even a real genre and Brokencyde is pretty much the only band.

MJ, have you listened to any post-metal? Hell, I haven't seen your opinion of post-rock either.
