It's an excellent mathcore album but "greatest of all time holy shit the best" element isn't there yet for me

I didn’t know about the Russian Circles link, that’s cool. Good band. Yeah honestly I did know there was a link to Isis and I know of Sumac. Guess I just wasn’t sure of the extent to which this could’ve influenced the wider genre.
It certainly sounds like it could have been important in that sense.

it def did, i think all of the more recognized heavy hitter metalcore bands did. considering how fuckin Huge botch was at the time, it’d be hard not to give them credit, even without the shared members. there’s even a lil mention of them on the surprisingly long wikipedia page about post metal

Sucks that this isn't on Spotify anymore. Haven't listened in a while and don't know where my physical copy has gotten to.

I saw the article, and in my defense it said that the albums "are coming", and not that they were already here.

I didn't really feel the sting (for the CD reason), although the absence of their other material was rather inconvenient. Good to see there was a resolution.
Hopefully other ex-Hydra Head bands follow suit (maybe some already have?)
