Innocence Faded is peak cheese, they went to far on Falling Into Infinity onwards with the ballad songs. When I play The Spirit Carries On physical cheese exits my speakers.

"Tool admitted they were influenced by Meshuggah and Gojira when writing Lateralus "
My bad, not Lateralus. It was 10,000 Days.

Dafuq does that have to do with anything? It's merely a point that bands can be influenced by their contemporaries, but unless Dream Theater starts writing tunes about the Fibonacci Sequence and the comedy of Bill Hicks while waiting a minimum of 5 years between albums while growing grapes they're hardly "ripping off" Tool in any meaningful way.

Dream Theater is more straightforward yet more adventurous instrumentally than Tool, and Tool is more complex and mysterious.
