It deserves to be disqualified on the basis of “we love you” alone.

Soz but you can’t put a track like that on an album and get aoty shouts 😂

A 20 song set here would be overkill if it isn't an exclusive headline imo.

I feel like down the road this will eventually be heralded as an ahead of its time masterpiece. Especially when considering the concept. Sure it's messy, but... conceptually it all fits. And it's not like there aren't messier albums that get lots of love (all black midi, tvu&nico, trout mask replica, philosophy of the world for some godforsaken reason)

I don't think this will ever be hailed as a masterpiece, or that that label really speaks for what it accomplishes - shit's gloriously messy pastiche of everything these guys clearly love about a bunch of different influences, and imo the main appeal is much more how inspired they sound going hell for leather than anything cohesive/original they land along the way

I can see it being considered a pioneering album,

And honestly massive props for taking such a big swing, it’s too inconsistent with though.

Tbf a huge chunk of the appeal for me is the narrative, the conceptual nature and how everything on this ties into that. I've always loved that sort of thing. The plastic daisies line being a critique of materialism supersedes any amount of "cringe" it could ever exude in my eyes, for instance.
