He can be douchey but people on this site tend to over exaggerate it a lot.
If you watch his interview
with Joe Rogan you'll see how comfortable he is with him. He's was very polite and humble in that
interview, so if he's not comfortable with the interviewer or doesn't like the questions he's being
asked I think that's when he comes across as douchey.

I can see why he gets his back up though, journalists can be both idiotic and scheming with how and what they put after interviews. I'd probably be wary myself.

Being a fan of Tool is never fun. They give us nothing between albums. Sure, there were a couple tours, but they never played any new music. What else was there? Oh yeah, that re-release of Opiate with alternate art work and nothing extra. Weeeee.
