You can cry to any Radiohead song if you try hard enough.

I don't know, I feel like both Amnesiac and KoL were semi-successful experiments the band indulged in after big big fantastic albums.. that being said, I find myself really loving KoL, so I can't fault anyone for loving this..

First impression of radiohead after listening to no surprises: the band makes fucking lullabies for babies. It took YEARS for me to change that opinion.

The National Anthem is a contender, I'll admit that.
Man I made a top Radiohead songs list back when AMSP first came out... good list

Album Rating: 2.5
Rated:
1. Sardines [3/5] (t/t off Kid A is better than this so why?*)
2. Pyramid [4/5] (bit of a non song but atmosphere is perfect)
3. Doors [2.5] (t/t off Kid A is better than this so why?*)
4. Army [4/5] (the grower, possibly the best thing here...that's not a good thing to realise)
5. Might [4/5] (another song elevated by top notch production, not an amazing song)
6. Knives Out [4/5] (bit of a throwback, another great atmosphere elevates this)
7. Remix [3/5] (it's ok, has that 'nightmare Disney' thing they go for occasionally)
8. Dollars [4/5] (the other grower, top 4 on the album for sure)
9. Hunting [2.5] (it's an ok segue)
10. Spinning [3.5] (this nearly works, but the piano version shows it could have been one of their best songs, which this clearly isn't)
11. Glasshouse [1/5] (fucking abysmal, dreary strangulated cat vocals from Thom over some corny Pink Panther bs, yuck
* the t/t off Kid A is one of the weaker moments on Kid A to get some perspective yo

KoL feels like more of a stylistic detour rather than a natural expansion of anything they did before or while probably ever do after. I think it's an amazing album but it's kind of hard to see it a solid a true Radiohead album per se. AMSP is the true follow-up to In Rainbows.

"The National Anthem is a contender, I'll admit that."
Because you know I'm all about that bass, about that bass, no treble.

Life in A Glasshouse is probably behind Wolf at the Door for favorite Radiohead closer. Don't know what is there to dislike about it
