this is different from other converges because converge is an ever evolving band boom



all their albums have their own unique sounds thats what make em great

Converge fans in particular should dislike this because they've heard it done before and better.



This is where I disagree a lot. This is where they tried a lot of new things and have the most varied amount of songs on one of their albums yet.

I don't know, to me, Converge have never simply relied on "being Converge" before. They've had
progressive failings since YFM, but I've never once detected the atmosphere of "phoning it in" and
homogeneity that this has. Depressing as fuck, because it's a rut they'll probably never leave, but
whatever, you guys love it so why change.
