This took forever to grow on me dude, keep listening.[2]

Hour and eight minute duration doesn't help

The length of the album isn't a problem at all considering this is consistently great throughout the whole thing.

Was stoked to find this at a Salvation Army a few days ago for a buck. Need to listen to it a few more times before I rate it.

Well... I mean it's maybe one of the top five best things I've ever spent a dollar or less on.

The length of this album isn't a negative it's just my sweet spot for an album is about 40 minutes, in my experience, longer albums have generally been more challenging to "get into".

depends on the genre imo, 1h is fine for this kind of album while it would be way too much for a DM album

This also hit me instantly. Oddly enough, the song that really, really gripped me on first listen was Odal. Which is definitely odd because Pale Companion is right before it.

The piano bit at the end of Odal is one of the most beautiful endings to a song ever written. I can understand why it'd grab you.

I love Haughm's vox but I can get why people wouldn't. His voice is kind of nasally

I'm in the same boat as Hawks. This was like 3.5 when I first heard it and it felt way too long but it's grown and grown and grown and it's borderline 5 material now

I think his vox are prefect here. Those harmonies in PC are ridiculous.

I mean yeah they are kinda nasally I guess, but that's what I love about them tbh.
