yea that was unnecessary of him. for what it’s worth, erase me is one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard by a band i grew up liking. it’s honestly impressive how bad it is, but it’s not like funny bad either, so it’s rly just unenjoyable in every possible way. makes me like think of them less fondly in moments of weird nostalgia

erase me isn't bad because its accessible or softer, its bad because its lazy, clunky, and generic whereas disambiguation is interesting, dynamic, and generally makes sense from a songwriting perspective
