"They say drugs can’t be addictive after only trying once"

who tf is saying that? there are physiologically addictive drugs like heroin, cocaine and meth and there drugs and can be psychologically addictive like MDMA and weed in the worst case. The physiological ones can make you an addict from the beginning. Because your body is getting used to it, you will be always chasing the first high and therefore doing bigger doses. that's what makes it dangerous.

for me, all the drugs that make you awake like a squirrel on red bull just suck and I never thought "oh that was amazing" after trying it. I like sleeping tbh

The time that has passed since the release of this album is longer than the span of time from the Manson murders to its release.

Frightening for all manner of reasons.

Well I mean,

1. It does show a massive amount of disrespect for the Tate family and others who were murdered.

2. The fact they were recording songs like Piggy inside the house is no matter what way you look at it ‘a bit off’

3. In the passage of time that has passed look at the changes in youth culture compared to the changes that occurred in 1969-1994

4. 26 years have gone by ridiculously quickly.

5. Everything really is a rehash of the past, modern music is shit, society has been dumbed down and kept docile making all art redundant and serve fuck all purpose.

The story of Tate's sister confronting Trent was always really powerful to me.

I can’t remember the full thing but didn’t it wake him up a bit to the insensitivity he had shown while he was so fixated in trying to do his own thing?

Yeah, she was like "why there of all places?" and he couldn't come up with an answer that didn't amount to edginess. I think it was a transformative conversation for him.
