Was going to say I always knew Lars wanted Bob Rock cos of the work he did to make Dr Feelgood sound awesome but they were also impressed with The Cult's Sonic Temple. I'll have to give that a spin

It's funny how I find more and more reasons to find him laughable after 1990.

is it just me or is jason way louder on the remaster?

like the verses of sad but true in particular he's almost overpowering the guitars, never remember it sounding like that

The 2021 remaster? It's a bit louder but it doesn't overpower the guitars imo

The drums a bit adjusted which makes it sound 1000 better to me. The drums used to be on the forefront in the original and 2008 remasters so I'm glad they finally fixed that.

I don't really like this album but it SOUNDS fantastic, specially tracks like Unforgiven. Some of the most clear and crisp sound ever in metal.

i agree this album has peak production, probably some of the best production in rock/metal history. it was the most expensive metal album ever made at the time and the money was well used.

Am I the only one that loves Don’t Tread On Me? It’s definitely a bit cheesy but in a way that works in their favor. This was the first album I ever heard by Metallica as a teenager and that track always stood out to me

I will admit that this has grown on me recently. It's a no-frills meat-and-potatoes metal album, but probably one of the best examples of such

ok nevermind the last 4 songs remain pretty lame, this would be like a perfect album if it ended at nothing else matters with 42 minutes.
