what a long weekend. took my cat into the vet after he wasn't acting his usual self and crying a lot. turns out his urinary tract was blocked up with 15 kidney / bladder stones. took him to the ER and they were able to flush the stones back to the bladder. surgery to remove the stones is later this morning. however, after a blood test we found out that he is suffering from kidney disease and his one kidney is much larger than the other, indicating damage. not sure what the future holds for my little meow but you better believe I am jamming this album on repeat today as I wait to hear more. be strong Taz

thankfully all is well. dropped $7,000 on bladder / kidney surgery for the little guy and luckily he has made a full recovery. after a few weeks of getting him back to normal drinking/eating, his kidney levels have gone back to normal. he initially had a blood enemia from lack of appetite/drinking but that went away. now we are just giving him special food and bought a few water fountains around the house to encourage him to drink more water. expensive cat for sure but at age 13 we are hoping for a few strong more years at least after this scare
