I’m not very good at noticing which labels house which artists/releases, but looking at that list - damn that’s an incredible selection of awesomeness! RIP Hydra Head indeed.
I also now feel a) guilty for moaning about some of Oxbow’s stuff getting taken down and b) simultaneously upset that’ll happen to me again in the near future with one of these other artists (which then leads straight back to a).)

seeming as Aaron Turner is friends with loads of the bands signed to Hydra id assume most bands will get control of their music back if HH simply ceases to exist anymore. i think i read something from Old Man Gloom basically saying they were slowly getting their back catalogue back under their control as hh winds down

I need to start following labels again like I used to. When I was getting into metal and punk I got real into the label thing and had a handful that I'd snag damn near every release from. That's how I found the majority of my music back then tbh. Razorback Records, Relapse and To Live a Lie were my favorites. I really wish Razorback would make a comeback. They did a release recently that was their first in years. Anybody have any awesome current labels that are trustworthy on that level? Gimme ya lists!

For me
Sentient ruin at the moment are probably my fave
Profound lore of course
Debemur morti
Dark descent (all though have been quiet of late)
Everlasting spew and transcending obscurity
All of of my fave extreme stuff come from them
Transylvanian tapes are worth a watch too

I’m ready to call this a near-masterpiece. Blimey, what an album! Only took me 15+ years.

It didn't take me long to rock with it, but to appreciate it took time too. Context, scope, influence, etc.

Oh yeah. It’s been a gradual process, although I do remember genuinely hating this at first. I bought this, Jane Doe + Calculating Infinity. The others were tough as well, but this took by far the longest.
