there is but the stereotype that all gay guys like girly pop music seems almost homophobic to me but again not my demographic so have at it

do you not think that is a stereotype homophobic people have colton?

i hear you and it does read homophobic to me too futures, it's the type of stereotype that leaves me wishing people who push it would just call me a slur instead. least then i know their real intentions and they're not hiding it behind fake allyship

if you look at artists that are popular among girls like Dua Lipa or Charli or Taylor a lot of them are also fairly popular among gay guys. that’s just plainly observable. that’s only homophobic if you like, really wanna be the victim of homophobia

it would be stereotyping to automatically assume a gay person likes those artists just because they’re gay but that’s not the same as saying they’re popular among gay people

Not all gay guys like "girly pop music", but it's a significant enough amount where there is a clearly industry built around it
I'm a gay man who doesn't typically go for that kind of music and it's obvious to me in my experience of talking to other gay men and going to gay bars.
If it's reductive, blame the fans of the music for consuming the art they chose to consume

i actually worked with a gay guy who thought i was guy and asked me out because i told him i listen to Lana Del Rey. and also because i ranked the brown M&M higher than the female ones in terms of fuckability. but i think it was mostly cause of Lana

they all seem equally lickable to me, why discriminate?

Album Rating: 3.0
i don't wanna fuck m&ms but gun to my head if i have to choose one i'm going with the blue one just cause of his body shape. and i really don't see how that's gay, they're m&ms

as for the girly pop music/gay thing, i guess? it's just the stereotyping people make gets under my skin as a trans woman. people are usually surprised to learn gecs doesn't trip the brainwaves for me but most hyperpop stuff just isn't really my vibe, and i think that's okay. i think this succeeds most when it's disconnected from that sound
