To me it's a waste of time and energy ranking songs on an all time masterpiece, but I sure as fuck know, if I did it, I'd make an effort to not put Lullaby near the bottom. that song slays immensely

Lullaby is one of the best!!!!!! That's the only reason I had to chime in again.

Closedown would p easily be bottom of my ranking, even with the other tracks I dig less it's easy to see the album would lose part of its charm if they were dropped

Lullaby is my least favourite as well. Not a bad song though.

If I can't trust Linus on my side, I don't know who I can. Lullaby is such a catchy dark single that still feels relevant.

Now I have to play Lullaby again. Heh Prayers for Rain. This is the (to Robert Smith). Finally a break out hit album that made the band super important among the music world.

The Same Deep Water as You is my all-time favorite Cure songs and one of my favorites, in general.

it's actually fucking stupid how good this album is. I'm gonna give a 4.5 for now but I feel like this is a 5.

I think I've told this story here before but I'll tell it again: I went to Roskilde festival in 2012. It's in Denmark, over 100,000 people went, it was 9 days and the line up was just perfect for my taste at that point. It was obviously one of the best weeks of my life. I didn't like The Cure as a youth (because I was dumb and had absolute garbage taste) but everyone told me I had to check out their set. So I did, and literally 20 minutes in I was like "hmm this isn't really my thing" and I left to go watch Trash Talk who are a whatever punk band from California that I have had a lot of chances to see in NA (I live on the west coast). Anyway, The Cure played for 3 hours and the set went down as like a legendary live music moment and now when I tell this story to anyone with good taste they puke. One of the worst decisions I've ever made in my life and LET ME TELL YOU that is not a short list.

I at least had the good sense to watch Bjork's entire set even though it was the last act of the entire festival and I was dead. I didn't like Bjork very much yet but part of me knew I would eventually develop good taste and I forced myself to enjoy it, not like that was difficult lmao

Hey man it happens. I missed Bjork w full band at Bonnaroo in 2013 to see A-Trak DJ w friends and I would go on to see multiple times after. Major regret but sometimes you gotta just live in the moment when at a fest

Also missed D'angelo at Bonnaroo another year to see a DJ I hardly like which in retrospect is the worst decision I ever made

lmao that is brutal

I once picked The Flaming Lips over Flying Lotus which, having seen neither at that point and seeing as how they are both great live acts, was defensible. But now that I've seen both several times it was an awful decision. Flaming Lips rule live but Flying Lotus is by far the best live performer I've ever seen. All three times I've seen him live were 100/100 perfect sets. Even the one time I wasn't on drugs!! Also Flaming Lips were 20 minutes late and only had an hour, and they were supposed to play all of The Soft Bulletin with room left for an encore, but they didnt even get close to finishing The Soft Bulletin.

I would have done the same tbh. Seen FlyLo four times myself and even the show he was wasted at was a great time. Can't wait for his new EP in a couple weeks. Hoping a live tour to follow

him being wasted is annoying but I guess if it was still good then hell yeah

actually wait I was high as fuck at two of his shows. as long as he is still into it then he can be drunk I guess.

And now that I know that I'm breaking to pieces

I'll pull out my heart and I'll feed it to anyone

I'm crying for sympathy, crocodiles cry

For the love of the crowd

And the three cheers from everyone
