Are you talking about The Jesus Lizard, Swans and/or This Heat? I thought the first two were quite well known, as far as underground music is concerned (not talking mainstream here, obvs).
I might check that band, vaguely interested.. if the Daughters naysayers can appreciate their stuff then they can't be too similar.
