"better late than never" [2]

yeah I remember when this dropped and sputnik was super hyped, I just did not see it at all. But then with each month it grew more and more. Now it's one of my top albums ever.

My affinity for pop-punk was always centered around upbeat/sunny vibes and romantic lyrics with catchy choruses (aka Yellowcard). For angst and profound emotion, I'd typically head elsewhere because it was difficult for me to take those kinds of emotions seriously from 98% of pop-punk vocalists. This one just hits different though.

It's tagged as pop-punk here and I got some pop-punkish vibes at times, but I agree that it's more emo indie-rock than anything. The pop-punk vibes I got mostly came from the guitar work and overall pacing.

Wild to me that the first time I saw these guys live was at Boston Calling music festival the same day The Migos were performing ... I want these guys to come back, tour and make another album so bad but its looking like they are on indefinite hiatus based on their social media and such

Checked on their page for the first time in years and apparently they're gonna tour Japan? So there's still active, I guess.
