Guys I listened to both of these albums now and why does every song sound the exact fucking same. The guitar key never changes!

Does Fixxxer work as an 8 minute opener?

The Memory Remains would need to be included. The live performance of that song on the M72 tour was pretty epic.

Man I hate that song so fkn much
I might give Insurrection’s alt tracklist a shot. I haven’t jammed either Load or Reload in probably a fucking decade but every time I really think about i realize that spending 2.5 hours listening to this might be the thing that breaks me and gets me sent to a psych facility

I don’t love it either. But it blew 70,000 people away, kinda shocking. Worthy.

Ohhh I see what you mean.
Idk man just me personally I don’t see it. It’s got that plodding pace, some weak as hell riffs, Kirk could not give less of a shit during the solo, and I get what they were doing for but the Marianne Faithfull parts are so fucking bad.
The song isn’t even long and they still ran of ideas midway through

“Does Fixxxer work as an 8 minute opener?”
the fade in works for me but the sequencing can be tweaked for sure. I tried to avoid having all the long slower songs at the end

Personally i think “fuel” or “king nothing” would make for good openers. “Fuel” already does

The boring but maybe sensible choice would be to have 'Bitch' and 'Fuel' open up each 'side' and have two epics close each side.
