"That's a guitar tone not a genre if you're trying to say it like that. Plus, this doesn't do much djent style guitar playing at all."

I'm not calling it a genre, I'm calling it a sound - and you're right, this album doesn't have *too* much chugging, but they still do all the shit wankery that so many contemporary faux-'tech' bands pull, and that's enough to warrant them a description along the lines of 'tasteless'. Learn how to write songs - this is worse than BtBaM.

Aint a single djent chord in this album. Go troll Periphery and Tesseract threads. And wank is

absolutely minimal on this album... there is waaaay more "chugging". Listening to songs such as

Flourish and Oscillator you can easily see they are talented song writers. Like fuck, dude, you

definitely haven't listened to this much or at all. Your claims hold absolutely no ground.

Shit, I just realized this is up to a 4.1 aggregate. That's crazy high for a deathcore album, no matter how proggy it is.

Im by no means springing the horrid djent debate again, but its clear you dont understand that the "sub genre" was conceived by the "chord" commonly used by Meshuggah before they used 8 strings. Just listen to Vanished by them.

I'm excited for the new album but their vocalist is bad and that will probably ruin a lot of it for me. Here's hoping that the instrumentals will be amazing.

He's just got one of those growls that lacks any impact, personally I find him to be boring as fuck to listen to. He never actually adds anything to the songs. By the end of the record I'm always soooo sick of hearing him.
