@DarkSideOfLucca I've listened to this and many other tech-death albums under 400u of lsd minimum, lsd actually helps to uncover those song structures and generally makes these bands a lot more listenable. I also like Spawn of Possession a lot, these guys and Portal are extremely hard to listen on lsd for some reasons. My favourite under acid is still things like Darkspace or blut aus nord.

yeah metal is def one of my favorite genres, but while on hallucinogens I prefer slower tempo things, even up tempo jazz is cool, metal is just kind of hard to vibe with when in that state imo

Forreal tho this was one of the first extreme metal albums I ever loved. I listened to this album every day on a discman I took to school. Long bus rides with this album on repeat. It also helped fortify my love and interest in sci-fi books and films.
