Provoking intellectual thought via clever metaphors (seriously, listen very closely to tracks like "The Trees") = good, for me, at least. I don't know if you like painfully simple and to-the-point lyricism, but to each their own. You don't have to like Rush's lyrics, but they're pretty far from 'dumb' by an objective stance.

Also, why the hell are we talking about The Beatles? King Crimson, sure, but The Beatles?
