yeah and at least someone went out of their way to cover that entire album in attempts to make it sound better. don't think that's gonna happen with this "album-of-a-generation."

I don't think Hanz Zimmer could make this album sound better.

these tapes are probably my favorite media of Metallica ever, idk if you've seen them. Binge & Purge 1989, a buddy of mine actually had these tapes back in 2007, Metallica utterly unhinged

My mom knew a guy who forced his friends to listen to Metallica tapes to later examine them on the subject. A metallicologist, if you will.

Justice and Ride The Lightning are tied as their best imo.

I'll never understand why people say Justice was "the beginning of the end of Metallica"
|
| |
It's a decent step down from their first three imo. Still good but not at the same level

RTL is best.

I probably listen to KEM the most these days but I'd still agree

I put Justice higher but RTL is the most emotional. Also, the sheer amount of gimmicks on it is insane. ALSO, every song besides Escape is killer.

I'd love to listen to this album done with just the signature lars Ulrich kick-snare groove.

I could never get into Kill Em All as much. To me Lightning, Puppets, and Justice are all so good that I won’t really even argue with anyone saying that any of them are the favorites, the only thing that kinda irks me is everyone declaring MoP this watershed moment for metal and calling it the greatest metal album of all time, and this is double pronged:
1. Ride the Lightning is just as good, we should be riding that album. MoP didn’t really innovate from that blueprint too much and
2. Rust in Peace is better
