I hope all the ST haters were like you, you have your own opinion and you back it up, I respect that.
Sadly most of them just jumped on the '' It's so cool to bash ST bandwagon'' and forgot to get of it.

ksoflas, coming from a fan, there's plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike this. I get it. It is surface level compared to some of the greatest avant-pieces I've heard. But I think I'd rather something like this that's actually striving for more than 1 thing to be popular than another flash in the pan like Benson Boone who has no sonic variety to save his life (and I LIKED the one song he did that became a hit)

Band is so overrated.

Look to Windward, Gethsemane and Infinite Baths are not bad songs. Rest of the album either have half or full songs that I am not a fan of. For instance the later half of Emergence and Caramel are interesting. Even in Arcadia feels like a missed opportunity to create a crescendo and payoff to a 4 and a half minute track. So out of 10 tracks, I liked 3. Liked parts of 3 and disliked the rest. Round er up and she’s 2.5/5.

Its easy to bash Sleep Token. They're the worst band of all time. I thought we established this.

Vessel's voice kills it for me, even if the music and compositions were at all good or interesting - which they're not. I skim through it and I get trap beats to mediocre riffs to some ho-hum ambiance. It's one of those things where I can feel very confident giving it a 1 without even listening in full

I don't care about the faces behind the masks, the worship, the tiktok bullshit etc. I just like them for their music.
Their music sucks though.

Sludgy, Proggy, intense and one hell of a ride. I'm not surprised that Sleep Token is becoming more popular; their discography is too damn awesome to not be recognized.

Band transcends genre, and cultural norms. At their worst, they are a pop band breaking the mold for what is pop in its contemporary form. In an era of pop where songs are only getting shorter, and song structures more simplistic, Sleep Token songs just get longer and more adventurous. The band is barely metal at this point, but I simply don't care. They are genre fluid in its most purist form. No matter what they write, their melodies are always drenched in an undeniable regal divinity.

i'm more amazed vessel's voice DOESN'T kill it for me because his voice has multiple elements that I normally dislike - thick British accent and deep baritone tone specifically, and there's a part on "emergence" that sounds like he sang it higher and pitch-shifted it down to make it sound deeper, and normally I hate that type of vocal effect
