@mk
That's interesting their new material is more funky because the standalone songs they dropped recently have been dark and depressive
I assumed they were singles from their new one and was excited that it would all be like that but I'm intrigued by the way you describe it. I'll try not to look up any footage on youtube

crazy how this is somehow completely raw and unpretentious despite being so 'artsy'
Probably the most exciting band in general right now as far as I'm concerned

YES DUDE, I was like this is gonna be something brutal or something slow but no, they breakout into a catchy, groovy, funky rhythm lol
@EphemeralEternity - I'm thinking Blood Pony and Tinted Civic might have just been b-sides but I don't know, maybe we'll get an insanely varied album from them.

album is still incredible, so glad this band has been getting a bunch of much deserved love over the last year. i did a writeup for this album for unknown measures last year if anyone grabbed a copy. very, very excited for the new LP.

Still craving this on vinyl

this is definitely a 4, too many good cuts despite the slightly overstuffed runtime. Surprisingly, the 'novelty' hasn't worn off yet (it's clearly not a novelty now)
looking forward to the new album!

I'd take God's Country over this by a small margin. I still gotta jam these guys' debut.

These guys are more special than Chat
Their debut is not as good as this,Hawks, but by no means bad

Gods Country is absolutely insane and one of the best metal records of the 2020’s imo, this is still damn good but I wouldn’t put it on that level

Nothing sounds like this tho
When i listened to Gods Country i just thought it sounded like a tame version of Godflesh
I should def listen to it more again. Not that i gave it a bad score or anything but yeah

yeah God's Country is great but the real immediate holy shit factor wore off as I realized that itch was already being scratched by bands like Godflesh [2] and Jesus Lizard and God's Country was just a fresh dose of that
hard to find anything that rivals this sound yet, and it's not like it's trying over the top to be unique to a point where it's discombobulated and ulistenable
