Aye his vocals are great, but listening to them is nothing compared to seeing him live

I mean messed it up. There's no room in Lamb of God for another member. Machine doesnt even listen to metal. I think he influenced a band that doesnt need any. They were better on their own.

Yeah, he does make them sound good. He produced AoTW as well. Im not saying anything bad about his engineering skills. These last two sounded a lot better than their other recordings. Even though Devin Townsend did AtPB. Which is his weirdest production Ive ever heard from him. He's really good. I dont know why that one sounded like it did. Anyways, I just dont like Machine's influence on the band. He didnt say a word to them on AoTW and its better than Sacrament. You even said you tought it was better. I dont think that was a coincidence. I think they would have done better on their own, as far as the songs are concerned. Leaving Machine to the knobs since thats what he's good at. AtPB just has this weird feel to it... like someone cranked the gain up all the way, and forgot to turn it back down
Makes it sound..... crunchy~ A good crunchy

I've listened to some earlier Lamb of God, and it has been pretty good. But this album really sucked.

If they manage to top AOTW, it will be one seriously fucking awesome album

this album did top ashes, ashes is an awesome record and has some amazing songs on it, but i feel this album takes the ideas created on AOTW and expands upon them. and it doesnt hurt that mark and willie have finally come into thier own as guitarists

One Gun and Omerta are some of my personal favorite songs by LOG, so I guess I like AOTW better.

dont get me wrong i love AOTW i love the song break you, and one gun and just about the entire record, but i like the whole atmosperic feel of sacrament

I felt this to be LOG's superior album simply because they broke out of the typical heavy metal they were doing before. As bunit9488 said, the atmosphere is what makes this album so much better.

This record bores me less than AOTW.

I find AOTW to be quite boring now too. At least every song on here has some unique quality to it.

The atmosphere in this album is amazing in certain tracks, also the fact that they have started to solo more than they did on Ashes impresses me.

well you never cease to amaze with your review i will give you that... this album is my favorite lamb of god album although the others are still not forgotten. i am impartial whether i like blacken the cursed sun or descending more(my favorite tracks). so in conclusion...amazing review to a solid album...
p.s. i like the metaphor about metal being a prison! good shit!

This would be such a fantastic album if their vocalist didn't sound like he choking on a penis.
|
| |
How the hell do you hear that?
|
| |
... I don't want to talk about it.
But seriously, their vocalist sucks.
