is pika talking about embarassing music lol

resisting the urge to 5post rn
|

honestly hes right in the sense that i loved slipknot when i was a young teenager
certainly gone off them massively. but some of the tracks hold up self titled and iowa
|
| |
and in regards to 5 posting, i fully believe its open season. as long as everyones prepared to have their own 5s be made fun/used to make a point, its all cool
|

Self titled is good. Better than flavour of the month sputcore and rymcore.

never got into slipknot in the acceptable years, but they were better than most at occupying the space of token brutality act for vapid teenagers pretending to be five times angstier than they really were. cannot hate
still funny that they have sufficient dearth of charisma to qualify as a ryus metal act
|
| |
sometimes all u need is catchy choruses and angst. kinda scratches the same itch as the pop music i enjoy. its why i like linkin park too
|
| |
i just peeped ryus' metal 5s seemed pretty decent selection to moi
|
| |
my metal taste is perfect everyone loved my metal list esp this guy
Why are you listening to music that you don’t like? Just so you can “prove a point” with your elitist opinion? Fuck off, cunt.

The lack of vocals doesn't surprise me for this kind of music but man does it make it hard to listen to, the inherent repetition of Footwork Jungle makes these 50 minutes feel like 500, and even with a wide variety of other samples and electronic instrumentals being featured, nothing takes the lead to replace vocals, which really leaves this as an instrumental album begging for more

Appreciate your excitement for this Gonzo, but so far this is the first Health project that's left me kinda cold. Feels very much like an experiment that didn't really work out all that well, but props to them for trying something new I guess. I'll still see them play whenever I get the chance, maybe in a live setting these songs will make more sense to me.

album slaps. i've been listening to it since September and it hasn't waned in the slightest for me. i agree though, i feel they will sound much better in a live setting.
